Overview
The Pipeline Welder position requires qualified candidates to have knowledge and experience in pipeline design, construction, operations, and maintenance of hazardous liquids pipeline systems. The role emphasizes safety and environmental responsibility while performing various pipeline operations and maintenance tasks.
Responsibilities
- Complete pipeline operations and maintenance tasks and projects.
- Operate heavy equipment as needed.
- Participate in spill and emergency response activities.
- Conduct building maintenance and pipeline inspections.
- Communicate regularly with supervisor regarding work progress and concerns.
- Maintain compliance with DOT regulations and company standards.
- Promote a safe and clean work environment.
- Participate in safety committees and team-building groups.
- Respond to emergency situations and after-hours calls.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Valid state welding certification is required.
- 2+ years of experience as a pipeline welder.
- Knowledge of API 1104 welding regulations.
- Effective interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team.
- Ability to work with blueprints, sketches, and diagrams.
- Knowledge of transmission pipeline systems and pump stations.
- Fluent in English, both oral and written.
- Ability to adjust schedule to meet business needs.
