Job Description

Overview

The Pipe Welder is responsible for completing each weld to specified standards using appropriate equipment and materials. The role requires extensive experience in welding carbon and stainless pipe and structures, along with a strong understanding of welding techniques and physical properties of metal.

Responsibilities

  • Select equipment and plan layout, assembly, and welding.
  • Lay out, position, align, and fit components together.
  • Bolt, clamp, and tack weld parts to secure in position for welding.
  • Set up equipment and weld parts together using various welding techniques.
  • May assemble parts by bolting and riveting.
  • May repair products by dismantling, straightening, reshaping and reassembling parts.

Requirements

  • Minimum 4 years of industrial construction/maintenance industry experience.
  • Extensive experience welding carbon and stainless pipe and structures.
  • Must pass the required weld test in accordance with company and industry standards.
