Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, layout, and performance of pipe fitting and fabrication work.
• Maintain positive working relationships with crew members.
• Produce high quality work safely and productively.
• Provide feedback to ensure availability of materials, tools, and equipment.
• Look for opportunities for improvement in tasks and methods.
• Learn and understand safety hazards related to the work.
• Utilize effective math skills for basic calculations.
• Learn to safely operate work-related tools and equipment.
• Eliminate waste in various forms during work.
• Ask a supervisor if unsure about any work aspect or safety issue.

Requirements

• One to two years of experience in the industrial/commercial construction industry.
• General understanding of the craft work being performed.
• NCCER Core Curriculum and/or a High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Additional Information

• Work up to a 12-hour shift in varying temperatures and outside conditions.
• Climbing and maintaining balance on various structures is required.
• Lifting, pushing, or pulling objects up to 50lbs on an occasional basis.
• Ability to wear personal protective equipment is required.
