Overview

New Flyer, a leader in heavy-duty transit buses, is seeking a Welder for the Weekend Shift in Shepherdsville, KY. The role involves performing various welding tasks to assemble and fabricate components, ensuring high-quality standards in production processes.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols.
• Set up and operate welding equipment, including MIG and TIG welders.
• Perform welding tasks using various welding techniques to fabricate and assemble components.
• Inspect welds for accuracy, completeness, and quality, making necessary adjustments as required.
• Maintain clean and organized work areas while following safety protocols.
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production targets.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Welder, preferably in a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
• Proficiency in reading technical drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols.
• Strong knowledge of TIG welding.
• Ability to operate welding equipment and tools effectively.
• Attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality welds.
• Physical strength and stamina to perform welding tasks and lift heavy materials.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
