Overview

Challenger Lifts, Inc., a division of Snap-on, is seeking a 2nd Shift Welder responsible for mig welding automotive lifts and components. The position offers a starting wage of $20.19/hr with an attendance incentive and a $2 shift differential.

Responsibilities

• Mig weld components for automotive lifts
• Place components on paint line
• Drive forklift when needed
• Assist in implementation of 6S initiatives and activities with an emphasis on safety
• Suggest and assist in process improvements to ensure safety, quality, and efficiency
• Assist in assembly and fabrication processes as needed
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Ability to be certified in mig welding in the horizontal position
• Ability to read a tape measure
• Basic blueprint reading skills
• Excellent communication skills at all levels of the organization
• Strong understanding of process interaction
• Strong problem solving skills
• Understanding of general manufacturing
• Ability to stand for long periods and work extended hours
• Ability to periodically lift up to 50 pounds
• Alignment with the Snap-on mission statement
• Must wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and adhere to safety guidelines

Additional Information

• Work hours are 4:00pm to 2:30am, Monday to Thursday and every other Friday
