Overview
The TIG Welder / Fabricator role involves precision TIG welding and fabrication of custom stainless steel parts for high-quality applications. The position requires reading blueprints, cutting and measuring materials, and executing high-precision welds while maintaining cleanliness and quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret welding blueprints and fabrication drawings.
- Cut, measure, and prepare materials according to prints.
- Perform TIG welding on stainless steel and other materials.
- Build complete weldments from start to finish.
- Weld in various positions and directions while maintaining quality.
- Execute a variety of weld joint types.
- Fabricate with stainless steel materials while avoiding damage.
- Operate and set up basic forming and machining equipment.
- Use hand tools safely and effectively for polishing and prepping.
- Inspect work for accuracy and make adjustments as needed.
- Maintain a clean, organized work area and follow safety procedures.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a TIG welder and fabricator.
- Strong TIG welding skills with heat control.
- Ability to read and understand welding prints and fabrication blueprints.
- Proficiency in welding material thicknesses from 14-gauge to 1/2 inch or 3/4 inch.
- Capability to weld in multiple positions and directions.
- Experience with various joint types including fillet and butt joints.
- Hands-on experience fabricating with stainless steel materials.
- High attention to detail in building weldments accurately.
- Safe and effective use of hand tools for weld prep and finishing.
- Ability to operate basic forming and machining equipment.
