Overview

Aerotek is seeking skilled Welders, Millwrights, and Industrial Maintenance Mechanics for a direct placement opportunity with a high-production industrial facility in South Orlando. This role supports ongoing plant operations in an outdoor environment, focusing on maintaining and repairing conveyor systems and heavy industrial equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical repairs, preventative maintenance, and equipment installations.
• Maintain and repair conveyor systems and industrial machinery.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot motors, gearboxes, bearings, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
• Complete conveyor system changes and maintenance activities (reactive and preventative).
• Perform stick welding (horizontal and vertical) for repairs and fabrication.
• Safely operate air arc equipment, cutting torches (propane/oxygen), and welding tools.
• Conduct inspections to identify and prevent potential equipment failures.
• Document maintenance work and communicate equipment status updates.
• Operate heavy equipment including forklifts, skid steers, and high reaches.
• Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns to minimize downtime.
• Adhere to safety standards in an outdoor industrial environment.
• Collaborate with the maintenance team to complete daily tasks and projects.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
• Experience with conveyor systems and industrial equipment maintenance.
• Proficiency in stick welding (must be able to pass a weld test).
• Knowledge of motors, gearboxes, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
• Experience operating air arc equipment and cutting torches.
• Ability to safely operate heavy equipment (forklifts, skid steers, lifts).
• Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Flexibility to work overtime and weekends as needed.

Additional Information

• Location: South Orlando, FL.
• Schedule: Day Shift (Typically 7:30 AM – ~5:00 PM; end time varies).
• Overtime Expectations: Monday–Friday with approximately 2 Saturdays per month.
• This is a Permanent position based out of Orlando, FL.
• This is a fully onsite position in Orlando, FL.
