Overview

The Machine Fabricator role is responsible for supporting Manufacturing Technology by fabricating, assembling, and installing machinery, as well as troubleshooting and repairing various systems on production machines and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate components using tools such as lathes, welders, mills, and grinders.
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work orders.
• Use hoists, drills, hand tools, and welding equipment.
• Test run machines and observe machine operations.
• Perform inspections including pressure and flow tests.
• Change worn machine accessories, such as cutting tools.
• Perform quality work checks to ensure products meet quality standards.
• Rework and repair assembled equipment according to engineering specifications.
• Conduct general maintenance duties on building and machines.
• Follow specified job specifications and complete required paperwork.
• Adhere to safety protocols and wear PPE properly.
• Maintain cleanliness around the workstation.
• Evaluate machine condition, diagnose issues, and recommend repairs.
• Travel up to twice per month for operational needs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED; Associates Degree or technical certificate preferred.
• 1-3 years of experience preferred.
• Considerable knowledge of tools, materials, and methods.
• Ability to work from drawings and manuals.
• Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work well individually and as part of a team.
• High attention to detail and self-motivation skills.
• Manufacturing experience preferred.

Additional Information

• Travel is generally limited to once per month but may increase depending on operational needs.
• Must be able to work assigned shifts, including overtime and after-hour meetings.
