Overview

Join a dynamic team specializing in delivering engineering, inspection, and remediation services for lighting poles, transmission towers, and other infrastructures exposed to wear from usage, aging, and environmental conditions.

Responsibilities

  • Perform welding tasks using Self Shielded Flux Cored Arc Welding (FCAW-S) and Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) processes.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and welding symbols to determine welding requirements.
  • Select and set up appropriate welding equipment, machinery, and materials.
  • Execute welding operations in all positions, including flat (1G & 1F), horizontal (2G & 2F), vertical (3G & 3F), and overhead (4G & 4F).
  • Inspect and verify welded components for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to specifications.
  • Perform weld tests and inspections to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Identify and rectify defects such as cracks, porosity, and incomplete fusion.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a welder with Flux Cored Arc Welding (FCAW) and/or Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) processes.
  • Strong understanding of welding techniques, safety procedures, and quality standards.
  • Ability to interpret blueprints, specifications, diagrams, and schematics.
  • Proficiency in welding operations in various positions.
  • Experience in fabrication and structural welding.
  • Familiarity with MIG welding techniques.

Additional Information

  • This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Spring, TX.
  • Projects can last from 3 weeks to 6 months, requiring candidates to be prepared to work in various environmental conditions.
  • Steel toes rated with ankle protection and a weld hood are required, while all other necessary equipment is provided.
  • This is a fully onsite position in Spring, TX.
