Overview

Aerotek is hiring a Fitter for a sheet metal fabrication environment. The role involves fitting, aligning, and assembling components while maintaining quality and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret detailed drawings, schematics, and blueprints.
• Use measuring tools to mark, layout, and verify dimensions.
• Fit and align materials and components according to specifications.
• Perform light MIG welding to secure components.
• Collaborate with team members to complete custom builds.
• Inspect and verify dimensions of assembled components.
• Follow safety procedures and use personal protective equipment.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.

Requirements

• Prior experience as a fitter in an industrial or construction environment.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints and technical documentation.
• Proficiency using measuring tools with high accuracy.
• Experience performing light MIG welding.
• Strong attention to detail and precision.
• Ability to work effectively in a fabrication or machine shop setting.
• Reliable transportation and consistent punctuality.
• Ability to work the 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. shift.

• This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Memphis, TN.
