Overview
The Welder 2nd Shift position involves performing MIG welding on various structural steel components in a fast-paced production environment. The role requires attention to detail and knowledge of welding techniques, as well as adherence to safety protocols.
Responsibilities
- Engage in MIG weld processes on structural steel components.
- Understand and follow safety rules in a manufacturing environment.
- Coordinate welder settings, gun speed/travel, and gas flow.
- Read tape measures and blueprints to shop standards.
- Decide on adjustments or gun manipulation as needed.
- Determine repairs for pin holes and burn through.
- Train and teach proper welding procedures.
- Operate overhead crane and other lifting equipment.
- Maintain specified shape, size, and penetration of welds.
- Keep numerical and alphabetical sequences correct.
- Maintain continuous improvement practices in the work area.
Requirements

Additional Information
- Pay Rate: $18.25 per hour, plus $1.50 differential.
- Work Schedule: 5:00 pm - 3:30 am with opportunities for Overtime.
