Overview
Precision Industrial Contractors (PIC) is seeking experienced Pipe Fitters to join their growing team. The Pipe Fitters will be responsible for laying out, assembling, installing, and maintaining industrial piping systems for various commercial and industrial projects throughout the United States.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, P&IDs, isometric drawings, and specifications.
- Plan pipe layouts to avoid obstructions and coordinate with other trades.
- Measure, cut, bevel, thread, groove, and prepare pipe for installation.
- Assemble and install carbon steel, stainless steel, copper, PVC, and other piping systems.
- Install valves, fittings, flanges, supports, hangers, pumps, and related equipment.
- Perform hydrostatic and pressure testing to verify system integrity.
- Install hydraulic and pneumatic piping systems.
- Maintain proper alignment and elevations of piping systems.
- Ensure work complies with applicable codes, safety regulations, and project specifications.
- Use hand tools, power tools, cutting equipment, and rigging equipment safely.
- Assist with startup, repairs, and modifications of industrial piping systems.
- Work effectively with welders, supervisors, and other trades.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Previous industrial pipe fitting experience.
- Ability to read blueprints and piping drawings.
- Knowledge of industrial piping materials and installation methods.
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in physically demanding environments.
- Ability to travel as required.
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen.
- NCCER Pipefitter Certification preferred.
- Experience in industrial, refinery, pulp & paper, power generation, or manufacturing facilities preferred.
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification preferred.
