Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality TIG welding on aluminum, stainless steel, and other materials according to engineering drawings and specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and technical drawings to ensure accurate fabrication and assembly.
- Set up, adjust, and maintain TIG welding equipment for safe and efficient operation.
- Inspect welds for quality, strength, and dimensional accuracy, making corrections as needed.
- Prepare materials by cutting, grinding, cleaning, and fitting components prior to welding.
- Use precision measuring tools to verify tolerances and ensure finished products meet quality standards.
- Follow all safety procedures while maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
- Collaborate with production and quality teams to meet daily production schedules and customer requirements.
- Perform routine maintenance on welding equipment and promptly report any equipment issues or safety concerns.
- Accurately document completed work and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; welding certification is preferred.
- Previous TIG welding experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment is required.
- Ability to read blueprints, welding symbols, and fabrication drawings.
- Experience welding stainless steel and aluminum is highly preferred.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Ability to lift up to 50+ lbs and stand for extended periods in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Excellent teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work overtime or varying shifts as production demands require.
