Overview

Join our team as a Welder Helper, assisting in the production of custom-engineered electrical gear for the energy, industrial, and critical infrastructure sectors. You will be a vital part of the weld shop, working alongside skilled welders to ensure high-quality outputs.

Responsibilities

• Assist welders in preparing materials for welding, including grinding, sanding, deburring, and sandblasting.
• Perform tack welding to support fitters as needed.
• Move materials and perform general labor tasks such as cleaning the shop.
• Engage in various odd jobs to support the efficient operation of the weld shop.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience as a welder helper.
• Proficiency in grinding, sanding, and deburring.
• Ability to read a tape measure.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment.

Additional Information

• Night shifts run from Monday to Friday, 6:00 pm to 6:00 am.
• Common to work 50-60 hours per week.
• This is a fully onsite position in South Houston, TX.
