Overview

Join our rail and tank car repair facility as a Welder & Fabricator, where you will play a crucial role in maintaining and repairing railcars. This position offers an opportunity for long-term investment and certification in railcar repair.

Responsibilities

• Perform MIG/Flux welding and fabrication/assembly tasks.
• Read and interpret blueprints accurately.
• Cut steel using an Oxy-Torch.
• Fit up and tack weld components as needed.
• Weld overhead when required.
• Collaborate effectively with the team to meet production goals.

Requirements

• Proficiency in MIG and Flux welding.
• Experience in structural welding.
• Ability to weld overhead.
• Skill in reading and interpreting blueprints.
• Experience in railcar repair.
• Familiarity with the Association of American Railroads and Federal Railroad Administration standards.

Additional Information

• Work in a non-climate controlled manufacturing facility.
• Shifts from 6:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday, with some Saturdays required.
• This is a fully onsite position in Hockley, TX.
