Overview

Eaton's ES GEIS BLD division is seeking a Cable Tray Welder for the 2nd shift in Sherman, TX. The position involves operating welding equipment and ensuring quality in the production of products.

Responsibilities

• Operate production equipment specifically for the welding and fabrication of products.
• Set up, understand and proficiently operate all welding equipment.
• Troubleshoot various and appropriate machine problems.
• ID and tag shop orders with the product.
• Retrieve/enter data into the system.
• Ensure quality and proper documentation on all parts.
• Maintain components and supplies as required to operate efficiently.
• Weld components based on print specifications.
• Perform 5S & Continuous Improvement activities.

Requirements

• Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of one-year MIG/TIG welding experience.
• AWS Weld Certified.
• Minimum of one year utilizing blueprints (AWS weld symbols) and using simple measuring tools.
• Basic computer skills.
• Solid math, communication, analytical, and reasoning skills.
• Working knowledge of weld operations, including MIG, TIG of stainless steel and/or aluminum.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs occasionally to frequently and up to 75 lbs occasionally.
• Ability to stand for eight hours plus while performing repetitious tasks.
• Ability to read blueprints and use simple measuring tools.
• Ability to follow directions, work independently, and pay close attention to details.
• Ability to work mandatory overtime, including Saturdays, as required by business need.

Additional Information

• Position is for the 2nd shift with core hours from 2:00pm to 10:00pm.
• The rate for this position is $22.71/hour + $1.20/hour shift differential.
• No relocation benefit is being offered; candidates must reside within the immediate geographical area of Sherman, TX.
