Overview

Oshkosh AeroTech, a leading provider of aviation ground support products, is hiring welders responsible for various types of weld preparation, welding, and weld finishing operations to manufacture equipment according to customer specifications.

Responsibilities

• Design, fabricate, join, and/or repair equipment and metal structures using various welding techniques.
• Determine layout of weld parts according to drawings and customer requirements.
• Weld according to Oshkosh AeroTech specifications.
• Apply specialized skills in procedures, techniques, tools, materials, and equipment.
• Execute welds in all positions and a variety of shapes.
• Assist during welding of components in areas of expertise.
• Assist with design and set-up of work centers.
• Troubleshoot problems and communicate design discrepancies.
• Complete required weld documentation.
• Move weldment to the next process verifying it meets specifications.
• Use material handling equipment to move parts and components.
• Perform all duties safely and maintain awareness of dangers in the work area.
• Practice good housekeeping in the work area.
• Understand and follow all Hazardous Waste Management duties.
• Other projects and responsibilities may be added at the company's discretion.
