Overview

Pratt & Whitney is seeking a Welder for the 3rd Shift to work onsite in East Hartford, CT. The role involves machining, fabricating, and finishing production parts while ensuring quality and adherence to specifications.

Responsibilities

• Work from operation sheets, drawings, and verbal instructions to machine, fabricate, and finish production parts.
• Perform bench assembly and finishing operations using handheld tools and power tools.
• Conduct part preparatory functions including grit blasting, shot peening, and oven operations.
• Use measuring instruments to check dimensions and record results in computer data systems.
• Perform routine servicing and upkeep of equipment following specified procedures.
• Assist with new equipment or process tryouts and other specialized assignments.
• Refer problems to leader/supervisor as appropriate.
• May carry out additional tasks within the scope of the job description.
• May be required to train for and maintain licenses and certifications.

Requirements

• HS Diploma or equivalent.
• 6 months of machining experience or 1 year of technical training.
