Overview

The Arc Welder 2 position involves setting up and adjusting welding equipment to perform production welding on various forms and thicknesses of steel using the MIG process. This role provides an opportunity to develop skills for advancement to Arc Welder #1 classification at Hubbell Incorporated, a company focused on creating critical infrastructure solutions for energy modernization and electrification.

Responsibilities

• Set up and adjust the welder for production welding.
• Read and understand blueprints and routings to produce parts to required tolerances.
• Ensure the quality of the parts produced.
• Follow all safety rules regarding machine operation and proper guarding.
• Maintain simple reports on productivity, quality, and safety.

Requirements

• Ability to use inspection equipment to ensure quality of parts.
• Must have all required tools to perform job functions.
• Physically able to frequently stand, bend, and lift up to 30 lbs.
• Sufficient reading and writing ability to follow work order instructions and prepare simple production reports.
• Sufficient visual acuity to read instructions, operate machines, and inspect parts.
• Sufficient manual dexterity to operate equipment properly.
