Overview
We are looking for a Welder to join our Brea team, performing welding operations to fabricate equipment used in the nuclear power industry. This hybrid manufacturing role involves various duties associated with manufacturing operations, including assembly, teardown, troubleshooting, and repair of industrial equipment.
Responsibilities
- Perform welding, assembly, disassembly, and refurbishment of equipment.
- Troubleshoot issues and identify solutions.
- Communicate with supervisors, engineers, project managers, and other personnel daily.
- Maintain adherence to strict quality and safety standards.
- Be able to multi-task and shift priorities as conditions warrant.
Requirements
- 3-5 years welding experience (GTAW, GMAW).
- Metal fabrication experience including drilling, tapping, grinding, and cutting.
- Experience with industrial process equipment (valves, cylinders, actuation, piping, etc.).
- Experience in a 'made to order' manufacturing environment.
- Ability to follow procedures and engineering drawings.
- Thorough understanding of mechanical systems.
- Experience with piping and tubing assemblies preferred.
- Forklift and overhead crane operation desired.
