Overview

American Fan, a manufacturer of air movement equipment, is seeking a Welder for their Fairfield, OH facility. The role involves working with a team to ensure parts are processed according to shop drawings using appropriate welding and measurement equipment.

Responsibilities

• Fits, tacks, welds mild carbon steel, 304 & 316SS and aluminum.
• Assembles utilizing MIG and TIG Welding equipment as well as a plasma torch.
• Processes parts according to shop drawings using appropriate welding and measurement equipment.
• Produces quality parts in a safe and efficient manner with minimal to no spatter.
• Minimizes scrap.
• Maintains good housekeeping of equipment and area adjacent to machines.
• Reports to Supervisor any malfunction, damage or need of repair to any equipment.
• Accurately processes any clerical forms such as time sheets and scrap reports.
• Uses required safety equipment and apparel.
• Passes Navy Tech Pub exam and welds according to standard.

Requirements

• High School / Trade School preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of welding experience.
• Ability to read blueprints and use measuring devices.
• Ability to weld (MIG & TIG) mild steel, 304 & 316SS, aluminum.
• Ability to work independently.
• Ability to follow directions and be safety conscious.
• Ability to use hand tools.
• Certified to be a Navy Welder as per Company Qualification Matrix.
