Overview

Caterpillar Inc. is seeking a Welder to join their global team focused on building stronger, sustainable communities. The role involves performing various welding and fabrication tasks while adhering to customer specifications and industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform non-certified fit-up and welding to tooling and fabrication.
• Conduct certified welding per customer specification, code, or standard using Arc, Gas, Tig, and Mig welding.
• Lay out, join, form, fasten, saw, grind, fabricate, assemble, install, and functionally check prefabricated parts and assemblies.
• Measure and assemble manufactured components using manual machine tools and hand tools.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of fabrication and welding experience.
• Certified welder with knowledge of ASME and/or Aerospace specifications.
• Technical ability to perform fit-ups, welds, and fabrication.
• Knowledge of pre-heat and post-heat procedures.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints.
