Overview

Aerotek is hiring pipe welders for a long-term project in Cape Canaveral, Florida, offering competitive pay and per diem for qualified candidates with industrial or shipyard experience.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate and maintain structural, hydraulic, and fluid systems using Schedule 10 stainless steel and carbon steel pipe.
• Perform Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW) on various materials.
• Cut, trim, fit, and fabricate weldments to precise dimensions.
• Review and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Work closely with lead welders to assess proper weld procedures.
• Prepare joints and set up welds in accordance with applicable codes.
• Execute weld tests adhering to specified tolerances.
• Inspect completed welds for quality and compliance.
• Maintain a safe work area and follow safety procedures.
• Use trade tools and welding equipment responsibly.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience in GTAW (TIG) welding.
• Demonstrated pipe welding experience on complex test coupons.
• Previous welding qualifications in accordance with governing codes.
• Strong blueprint reading and interpretation skills.
• Ability to cut, trim, fit, and fabricate weldments accurately.
• Experience fitting and welding stainless steel and carbon steel piping.
• Capability to meet specific weld test criteria.

Additional Information

• This is a Contract position based out of Jacksonville, FL.
• You will be working 60 to 80 hours a week.
• Pay is $35 on days and $37 on nights.
• Per diem is $125 a day.
• This is a fully onsite position.
