Overview

This position is for a Welder Leader at the Department of Homeland Security, United States Coast Guard, located in South Portland, Maine. The role involves leading welding operations and ensuring compliance with qualified welding procedures.

Responsibilities

• Remove and replace interferences in the way of welds.
• Fit brackets and machinery foundations, and minor structural braces, gussets, or patches.
• Adjust all welding controls to ensure qualified welding procedures are maintained.
• Communicate assignments, projects, problems, actionable events, milestones, program issues, deadlines, and timeframes to the team.
• Identify, distribute, and balance workload and tasks among employees.
