Job Description
Overview
The Pipefitter Supervisor (Pipefitter Foreman) is responsible for supervising and training inmate workers in the installation, repair, and maintenance of utility systems related to the Steamfitter/Pipefitter trade, ensuring public safety and security within the correctional facility.
Responsibilities
- Supervises and trains inmate workers in the installation, repair, and maintenance of utility systems.
- Oversees heating systems, high and low pressure steam systems, coal and ash handling systems, and auxiliary steam equipment.
- Maintains piping and related equipment for housing units, supportive buildings, guard towers, and the main powerhouse.
- Ensures the security of the institution is maintained by all correctional staff.
