Responsibilities

Requirements

• Knowledge of welding on different types of base metals (HY-80 & HY-100)
• Familiarity with different wire and gas combinations
• Proficient in using SMAW, GMAW, and FCAW welding processes
• Ability to produce welds acceptable for N.D.T.
• Capability to weld steel, aluminum, copper nickel, and stainless steel
• Ability to read weld gauges
• Proficient in using hand tools
• Some guidance from supervision will be needed
• Knowledge of standard item 1689 and the guidelines of 5 S
