Overview

Pratt & Whitney is seeking a Machinist/Fabricator C for the 2nd Shift to work onsite in East Hartford, CT. The role involves operating machinery to produce turbine engine parts and requires U.S. citizenship.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate one machine or equipment type.
• Work from operation sheets, drawings, computer-generated information, and verbal instructions.
• Obtain specified equipment, tools, and gages to machine, fabricate, and finish production turbine engine parts.
• Perform bench assembly and finishing operations using handheld tools and power tools.
• Conduct braze fabrication operations including assembly, sizing, and application of braze materials.
• Perform light and water checks on brazed honeycomb assemblies.
• Assist others with new part process tryout, repair, and specialized assignments.
• Refer difficulties to leader/supervisor.
• May carry out tasks not specifically listed to support department objectives.
• May be required to train for, obtain, and maintain licenses and certifications.

Requirements

• HS Diploma or equivalent.
• 6 months of experience in a manufacturing environment.
