Overview

We are currently seeking a Microwave Tube Generalist to work on 1st shift at our Torrance, CA location, building sub-assemblies for traveling wave tube (TWT) products used primarily for military applications. This full-time hourly position involves building various assemblies and sub-assemblies that make up the initial components in our TWTs while ensuring quality, cost, and production goals are met.

Responsibilities

  • Perform basic mechanical assembly including vacuum assembly, sub-assemblies, packaging, magnet stack, high vacuum testing, circuits, and other duties associated with the manufacture of traveling wave tubes.
  • Set up and operate assembly and/or process equipment as required to manufacture and process TWTs through final acceptance and delivery.
  • Work under clean room conditions and controls when required.
  • Use computerized equipment to input, retrieve, and perform simple analysis of information.
  • Obtain certifications as required per department requirements.
  • Read and understand engineering prints/documentation and ensure handwritten entries are neat and legible.
  • Adjust and perform incidental related duties as assigned to ensure acceptable quality, cost, and delivery expectations are met.
  • Work scheduled shifts as requested or permitted by Collective Bargaining Agreement; regular attendance and punctuality are required.
  • Proficiently clock into and out of work orders.
  • Accurately record and document time charging of job performed.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is needed.
  • 1-3 years of operations or manufacturing-related work experience.
  • General knowledge of mechanical assembly processes and procedures.
  • Previous precision mechanical assembly experience preferred.
  • Experience working in a clean room is helpful.
