Overview
AstroForge is a startup focused on making space resources accessible on Earth by mining asteroids for valuable minerals. As a CNC Operator, you will set up, operate, and troubleshoot CNC machines to manufacture high-precision aerospace components in a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, and troubleshoot CNC machines and conventional machine tools.
- Work from blueprints, sketches, CAD/CAM files, and technical drawings.
- Work with materials like aluminum, titanium, stainless steel, and carbon composites.
- Select, align, and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, and workpieces.
- Start and monitor machine operation to detect malfunctions.
- Conduct in-process inspections and first article verifications.
- Test and verify conformance of finished workpieces to specifications.
- Troubleshoot machining issues and implement corrective actions.
- Document production data, inspection results, and process notes.
- Collaborate with engineering and fabrication teams for DFM feedback.
- Maintain and improve the workshop environment.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalency certificate.
- Proven experience as a CNC machine operator, preferably in aerospace.
- Basic understanding of CAM software and 3D CAD tools.
- Skilled in operating CNC machinery and precision measurement instruments.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Mechanical aptitude and strong attention to detail.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to work onsite in Seal Beach, CA.
- Availability to work evening/overnight or weekend shifts.

Additional Information
- Salary range is $22 - $28 per hour.
