Industrial Maintenance Technician

Pay: $30 to $35/hour

Location: Carteret, NJ

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM or 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with overtime as needed, including occasional half-day Saturdays.

Zing is seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance Technician to join a growing manufacturing team in Carteret, NJ. This direct hire opportunity is ideal for a hands-on maintenance professional with strong mechanical troubleshooting skills who enjoys keeping production equipment operating at peak performance.

What You'll Do

Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production equipment and facility systems Perform preventive maintenance (PMs), inspections, and routine servicing Diagnose and repair pumps, motors, mixers, and other production equipment Complete minor electrical and plumbing repairs Document maintenance activities using a CMMS/work order system Support facility upkeep while following OSHA and company safety standards Respond quickly to equipment issues to minimize downtime

What We're Looking For

5+ years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment Strong mechanical troubleshooting experience with pumps, motors, mixers, and similar equipment Experience performing preventive maintenance (PM) programs Basic electrical troubleshooting and plumbing skills Experience using a CMMS for work orders and maintenance tracking Ability to work independently and as part of a maintenance team

Physical Requirements

Lift up to 50 pounds Stand, bend, kneel, and work in confined spaces Comfortable working around industrial machinery and moderate to loud noise Willing to work overtime, including occasional half-day Saturdays

This Position May Not Be the Right Fit If You

Have only facilities maintenance or handyman experience Lack industrial manufacturing maintenance experience Do not have hands-on equipment troubleshooting experience Have never worked with preventive maintenance programs
