Job Title: Manufacturing Technician

Job Overview: Vertiq is seeking a talented, detail-oriented Manufacturing Technician to support the assembly and production of our integrated propulsion systems. This role will be responsible for the final mechanical and electrical assembly of precision brushless motors, motor controllers, and related subassemblies while ensuring products meet Vertiq's quality and performance standards. The ideal candidate enjoys building high-performance electromechanical products and providing insightful feedback on quality and manufacturing processes. This position is based in Philadelphia, PA and is an on-site role.

Responsibilities and Duties: Perform precision mechanical assembly of integrated BLDC motors, motor controllers, and propulsion modules. Execute final motor assembly, including bearing, rotor, and stator installation. Assemble and solder electronic components, PCBAs, and other subassemblies. Perform functional testing and validation of WIP and completed products, including electrical, mechanical, and performance testing. Follow detailed assembly procedures, work instructions, and manufacturing documentation while maintaining high quality standards. Identify assembly issues, document non-conformances, and work with Manufacturing and Engineering to resolve production challenges. Support new product introduction (NPI) builds and provide feedback to improve manufacturability and assembly efficiency. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe manufacturing workspace. Assist with continuous improvement initiatives to increase throughput, reduce defects, and improve overall production quality.

Qualifications: Associate's degree or technical certification in Manufacturing, Mechanical Technology, Electronics, or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience. 2+ years of experience assembling electromechanical products, including soldering Experience with mechanical assembly using torque-controlled tools, adhesives, bearings, fasteners, and precision fixtures. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, assembly instructions, and bills of materials. Strong electromechanical aptitude with excellent attention to detail and craftsmanship. Comfortable using common manufacturing tools, measuring equipment, and test equipment. Experience operating within an ISO-compliant manufacturing or quality management system is preferred.

Compensation & Benefits: $50,000–$55,000 base salary, depending on experience. Eligibility for an annual performance incentive of up to 10%. Vertiq offers comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance, a retirement plan, paid time off, and other competitive benefits.
