Overview

The Service Technician role at Grundfos involves diagnosing, repairing, and delivering exceptional service for critical pump systems, contributing to smarter solutions for water movement and quality of life. This position emphasizes a strong safety culture and is remote, preferably for candidates residing in North Carolina, with travel along the East coast.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct inspection, fault analysis, warranty qualification, repair, and performance testing of returned pumps in the workshop and at customer sites.
  • Register customer information, perform risk assessments, and clean pumps according to EHS sanitary requirements upon receival.
  • Process warranty claims in FAS, report product quality issues in QIP, and prepare quotations for non-warranty repairs.
  • Deliver professional repair reports to customers, coordinate packing and shipping of completed units, and handle merchant returns and credit processing.
  • Perform regular workshop maintenance including calibration and upgrade of equipment and tools, and conduct workplace safety inspections.
  • Maintain strong relationships with customers, service partners, and internal stakeholders while communicating Safety, Health, and Environment matters.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a technical discipline (mechanical, electrical, or related field).
  • A minimum of 5+ years of relevant work experience in a service, repair, or workshop environment.
  • Experience servicing Pumps, motors, controls, or have rotating equipment experience is required.
  • Proficiency with SAP, MS Word, and MS Excel.
