Blake Trailers is a custom trailer manufacturer and metal fabrication business with a busy service and repair department. The right person can move efficiently between new fabrication, practical repair work, and the details that make a finished product hold up.

Experienced MIG welding, with TIG and pulse MIG equipment available Sheet-metal layout and general metal fabrication Custom trailer manufacturing Vehicle hitches, brake controllers and plugs Trailer brakes, wheel bearings, lights, wiring, axles and undercarriage Body work and paint experience Customer service, bids and estimates are a plus

The shop is equipped with MIG, TIG and pulse MIG welders, a shear, brake, ironworker, band saw, plasma arc, cutting torch, radial arm saw, hot saw, table saw, drill press, Hyster and the hand tools needed to finish the job.

What you'll be running

This posting calls for MIG and TIG work. MIG (GMAW) feeds a continuous wire electrode through a shielding-gas nozzle. It lays down metal fast and is forgiving on clean material, which is why it dominates production and light fabrication work. TIG (GTAW) uses a non-consumable tungsten electrode with filler added by hand, giving the operator the most control of any process. It is slow, demanding, and the standard for stainless, aluminum, and anything where the bead has to look as good as it holds.
