Overview

The Structural Welder at Stewart Construction, LLC is responsible for stick welding carbon steel at an industrial facility in Belle Chasse, Louisiana. The company specializes in a variety of industrial and marine construction services, including fabrication, installation, and repair of marine structures.

Responsibilities

  • Stick weld carbon steel.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Authorized to work in the United States.
  • Reliable transportation to and from work.
  • Must pass a drug-screen.
  • Must pass a background investigation.
  • Must pass a fit-for-duty examination.
  • Welding certification from AWS with a D.1.1 endorsement or equivalent preferred.
  • 1+ years of welding experience, preferably in marine construction.
  • 1+ years of experience using a welding torch.
  • 1+ years of experience working on or by the water, preferably the lower Mississippi River.
  • TWIC credential preferred.
  • Ability to enroll in the DISA program.
