Overview

As a Fitter, you will set up, operate, and maintain welding equipment, fabricating and assembling metal according to specifications. You will also repair and maintain metal equipment and structures of various sizes.

Responsibilities

  • Set up, operate, and maintain welding equipment.
  • Fabricate and assemble metal using welders, cutters, shapers, and measuring tools according to specifications.
  • Repair and maintain metal equipment and structures of various sizes.

Requirements

  • Required to complete AWS certification 3G test using FCAW Flux Core – Mig Welding 1/8 to unlimited thickness.
  • Ability to read blueprints using GIT tolerances and AWS weld specifications.
