Overview
The Structural Welder - 2nd Shift position at Stellar Energy involves performing various welding functions on structural plate and 6G pipe using SMAW, FCAW, and GTAW. Stellar Energy is a provider of cooling solutions for data centers and industrial manufacturing, focusing on scalable and customizable infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Fluent in understanding job specific WPS / PQR's and capable of setting machine up for performance in all positions to certified testing criteria.
- Analyze blueprints for weld insignia and apply them to assembly components on piping and structural systems.
- Identify, measure, hand dress, cut, and fit metal surfaces for welding processes per job specific requirements.
- Perform visual observation of pre and post-welded surfaces and interpret fulfilled job requirements using precision measuring instruments.
- Interpret insufficient weld criteria and efficiently blend to repair.
- Demonstrate strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Accountable for completion of daily work assignments while monitoring quality, safety, and health regulations.
- Operate overhead cranes and/or forklifts.
- Comply with all company policies, procedures, and safety requirements.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Experience in threading, grinding, welding, brazing, rigging, plasma cutting, and gas arc cutting.
- Related experience or training.
- 6+ years' experience in Welding SMAW, FCAW, and GTAW preferred.
- 2 years vocational technical training preferred.
- Must be authorized to work in the USA.

Additional Information
- This position operates out of a fabrication facility in Jacksonville, FL or Fort Worth, TX.
- The first shift is Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Second shift is Monday through Thursday, 3:00 p.m. to 1:30 a.m.
- Occasional evening and weekend work may be required.
- Travel is primarily not required except for local travel during the business day.
