Job Description

Overview

The Assembly Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing preventive and reactive maintenance on equipment in the Assemblies Department at the Minnetonka plant, as well as assisting in assembling engineered equipment with the assembly team.

Responsibilities

  • Follows all EHS rules and produces quality work.
  • Assists with other departments as needed.
  • Works with and coordinates activities with other job classifications.
  • Follows safe work practices and all environmental, health and safety policies and procedures.
  • Performs maintenance and documents work in the plant’s CMMS (Maximo).
  • Reads and understands shop orders and bill of materials.

Requirements

  • Experience repairing and maintaining fabrication and other equipment including welders and machining equipment.
  • Willingness and ability to work between maintenance and assembly work.
  • Ability to assemble PVC and fabricated metal piping spools per applicable quality and EHS standards.
  • Ability to work from engineering drawings and understand engineering and quality specifications.
  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude.
  • Ability to work as a member of a team and independently.
  • Desire to advance to higher level maintenance and/or mechanical technician roles.
