Overview

QED Systems, a marine engineering, planning, and ship modernization firm, is seeking experienced Marine Welders to join their team.

Responsibilities

• Join metal components together through welding or brazing in shop and shipboard environments.
• Select materials for removals, installations, repairs, and alterations.
• Cut, burn, and grind surfaces as directed.
• Comply with safety regulations and work under industrial repair conditions.
• Work in confined spaces and climb vertical/inclined ladders.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Experience in welding and/or brazing applications.
• Ability to certify to QED Weld Procedures for Steel (mandatory) and Aluminum (desired).
• Ability to read, interpret, and follow blueprints or technical drawings.
• Understanding of associated welding symbols.
• Must be able to pass an x-ray weld test.
• U.S. citizenship required.
• Must meet and maintain eligibility for U.S. Secret Clearance.
