Overview

Allmand, a Generac Company, has been providing reliable and rugged jobsite equipment for over 85 years, focusing on light, heat, power, and air products for various markets. The Welder II position involves ensuring safety compliance, operating equipment, and supporting training and welding tasks.

Responsibilities

• Comply with the company/site safety rules.
• Perform safe and effective operation of all equipment needed to perform job function.
• Flex across different products and areas to support business needs.
• Provide training to new employees or employees learning new work areas to work instructions/standard work.
• Follow established procedures, processes, or policies.
• Interpret and understand engineering drawings and blueprints to accurately execute welding tasks.
• Assist with robotic welder.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or Certification.
• Internal written and physical weld test.
• An understanding of welding fundamentals.
• Basic welding experience and/or training.
• Basic knowledge of Mig Welding Equipment.
• Ability to follow direction and work in a team environment.

Additional Information

• The employee must occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
• Specific conditions of this job are typical of frequent and continuous computer-based work requiring periods of sitting, close vision and ability to adjust focus.
• Occasional travel.
