Job Description
Overview
The PIPEFITTER TRAINING LEADER will oversee training for pipefitter personnel at the PUBLIC WORKS BUSINESS LINE of Commander, Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, ensuring that employees receive proper instruction and mentoring to enhance their skills.
Responsibilities
- Prepare, coordinate, and conduct classroom trade theory instruction and on-the-job training for pipefitter personnel.
- Determine the depth of employee's trade knowledge and provide mentoring.
- Coordinate training opportunities to address skill gaps.
- Prepare periodic updates related to training records and reports.
- Provide periodic assessments for pipefitter personnel to determine technical proficiency.
- Schedule and coordinate training for various shops and ensure OJT aligns with the training plan.
- Train pipefitter personnel in the best methods for pipe system repairs.
- Research and implement leading-edge practices and modern tools and equipment.
