Overview

RTX, the world's largest aerospace and defense company, is seeking a Welder for the Aftermarket Repair organization in Springdale, AR. This position involves working on 2nd shift hours with a focus on safety, quality, and compliance in a state-of-the-art facility.

Responsibilities

• Interpret weld blueprints, specifications, and work instructions accurately.
• Prepare and fixture components, ensuring proper alignment, cleanliness, and readiness for welding.
• Perform manual bench and electron beam welding in accordance with defined process parameters and quality standards.
• Monitor equipment and weld conditions, complete inspections, and address or escalate weld defects appropriately.
• Maintain equipment, follow all documentation and traceability requirements, and adhere to weld-specific safety protocols.
• Commit to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
• Work independently and as part of a production team.

Requirements

• HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. G.E.D in the US) with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
• Previous experience in welding, precision manufacturing, or related operations preferred.
• Technical proficiency in weld processes and equipment operation.
• Problem-solving skills and ability to recognize abnormal weld conditions.
• Effective communication and documentation skills.

Additional Information

• 2nd shift hours are Monday-Friday, 3:00PM - 11:30PM.
• Employees are subject to train on 1st shift.
• 1st shift hours are Monday-Friday, 6:30AM-3:00PM.
• Overtime opportunity may be available after a period of training.
• This position is considered safety sensitive in accordance with FAA Guidelines.
