Overview

Welders are the primary constructors of vessels at Feldmeier Equipment. The Welder position involves various tasks related to welding and may include other general work depending on the workload.

Responsibilities

  • Comply with all Feldmeier safety and Company policies and Occupational Health and Safety Regulations.
  • Ability to TIG weld, spot weld and MIG weld stainless steel.
  • Interpret blueprints, drawings, and measurements to plan layouts.
  • Layout component locations per instructions.
  • Prepare work surface via cutting and finishing.
  • Weld small and large components in flat, vertical, and overhead positions via appropriate welding technique.
  • Set up and operate equipment for assigned jobs.
  • Complete housekeeping duties in assigned area or as requested by management.
  • Complete all required paperwork and properly log time into the MES system.

Requirements

  • Boces welding certificate or 6 months of welding experience.
  • Previous fabricating experience.
  • Ability to read measuring tapes and operate tools such as grinder and welding torch.
  • 2 or more years of TIG experience (preferred).
  • Experience welding with different alloys (preferred).
  • Proficiently weld in flat, vertical and overhead positions (preferred).

What you'll be running
