Overview

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Welder to join our team at TREW. The Welder will be responsible for welding various assemblies using both manual and robotic welding methods, with a strong commitment to safety and quality.

Responsibilities

  • Follow all company and industry safety policies including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Adhere to company, OSHA, and other applicable standards and regulations.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to plan welding operations.
  • Design, fabricate, and implement welding fixtures to support accurate, efficient, and repeatable welding processes.
  • Set up, operate, and maintain welding equipment and tools.
  • Weld mild steel components together using traditional MIG welding processes.
  • Inspect completed welds to ensure they meet specifications and quality standards.
  • Repair or modify existing metal structures as required.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Collaborate with other team members to complete projects on time.
  • Perform routine maintenance on welding equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Mentor and train welders in proper welding techniques, safety protocols, and the use of equipment.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in various welding techniques and equipment.
  • Strong ability to read and understand technical documents, such as blueprints and schematics.
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of welding safety procedures and practices.
  • Physical ability to perform welding tasks, including lifting heavy materials and standing for long periods.
  • Good communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; certification in welding from a recognized institution is preferred.
  • Certification from the American Welding Society (AWS) or equivalent.
  • Familiarity with automated or robotic welding systems.
  • Proven experience as a welder in a manufacturing or construction environment.

Additional Information

  • Weekend Shift - Friday thru Sunday - 6:00am to 6:30pm.
  • The work environment may include exposure to manufacturing machinery and potentially noisy conditions.
