Responsibilities

• Work in coordination with the Manager and coworkers to ensure jobs are welded to specifications.
• Operate equipment using safe work habits.
• Inspect welds and work pieces to meet acceptance standards.
• Measure work pieces to ensure proper fit.
• Weld various materials per qualifications and applicable WPS using GMAW and GTAW.
• Clamp, hold, tack-weld, brace, grind, or bolt component parts for welding.
• Maintain safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
• Lift or move materials and finished products using overhead cranes or hi-lo.
• Read drawings and weld symbols.
• Maintain continuity among work shifts through documentation and communication.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Certificate in Machine Tool Technology or equivalent work experience.
