Overview

Ziegler CAT is seeking a full-time, experienced Welder to perform repairs and fabricate heavy construction and mining equipment at their Buhl branch. The company, founded in 1914, emphasizes a commitment to employee development and customer success.

Responsibilities

• Perform welding and fabrication.
• Maintain equipment such as dressing welding electrodes, oiling/greasing, machine settings, changing of tooling, and other adjustments as necessary.
• Document work orders in a complete and timely manner to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
• Work safely at all times, following company policies, procedures and standards.
• Work collaboratively and assist other technicians as needed regarding troubleshooting repairs.
• Participate in ongoing training to enhance mechanical skills and grow product knowledge.

Requirements

• 2-year technical college degree/certificate in welding or related field; or high school diploma/GED and 2 years of comparable welding experience.
• Able to operate spot welder, arc welder, plasma TIG welder, MIG welder, cutting torch, power grinder, power sander, hand-tools, bandsaw, drills, temporary fixturing devices, and other metal-fabrication equipment.
• Able to read dimensional blueprints.
• Experience with gauging and measuring preferred.
• Ability to write and communicate effectively and interact with supervisors, customers and team members.
• Basic computer skills to document work orders and utilize online diagnostic systems.
• Own mechanic tool set.
• Ability to maintain a safe and clean work environment.
• This role is deemed safety sensitive and requires the ability to successfully complete a pre-employment drug test.

• Hours: M-F 3:00PM - 11:30PM
