Overview

Total Safety is seeking Boilermakers with Deluge Systems/Bolt Up/Screw Pipe experience to provide maintenance services, installation, and repairs in industrial settings. The company is a leading provider of integrated safety and compliance services.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain job site documentation, including job time sheets and building drawings.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and specifications for installation activities.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, and pipe fitting equipment proficiently.
  • Perform work in unusual positions such as climbing ladders and working in ducts.
  • Work alternative shifts or weekends and travel as needed for customer installations.
  • Tighten and loosen bolts on flange connections and manways according to ISO drawings.
  • Assist with installation/removal of blinds for pressure testing.
  • Assemble and secure pipes, tubes, fittings, and related equipment according to specifications.
  • Use impact wrenches, combination wrenches, and line up pins for installation.
  • Perform other related duties as required and assigned.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of boilermaker experience in fire protection, petrochemical, or oil refinery industries preferred.
  • Ability to carry and move equipment and tools weighing up to forty pounds.
  • Valid driver's license and proof of vehicle insurance with a satisfactory driving record.
  • Must pass a comprehensive background and drug/alcohol screening.
  • Ability to pass plant security and drug screening including UA, hair follicle, and breathalyzer.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent education and/or experience.
  • NCCER in Pipefitting/Boilermaker preferred.
  • Current TWIC certification.

Additional Information

  • Working in an industrial or shop environment with exposure to wet, humid conditions and vibration.
  • May be exposed to high pressure, chemicals, gas releases, or fire.
  • Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
