Overview

As an ARMO Technician at Baker Hughes, you will support manufacturing and assembly operations by ensuring equipment and components are assembled, tested, and maintained to high quality standards. Responsibilities

  • Assemble complex components according to assembly drawings, specifications, and bill of materials.
  • Perform functional and pressure testing on assemblies to ensure compliance with customer and business requirements.
  • Operate test equipment in accordance with engineering procedures and established standards.
  • Apply settings, calibrate, and maintain assembly and testing tools to ensure accurate performance.
  • Perform torquing activities on various components while meeting quality and safety requirements.
  • Read and interpret assembly blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions to execute assembly activities.
  • Troubleshoot assembly and testing issues and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Utilize measuring instruments to verify dimensions, tolerances, and product quality.
  • Distribute and support quality notifications (QNs) and assist in corrective actions when required.
  • Operate cranes, hoists, and pallet jacks in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Collaborate with team members to meet production schedules and operational objectives.
  • Follow all applicable safety, quality, and environmental procedures throughout daily operations.

Requirements

  • Have a high school diploma, technical diploma, or equivalent qualification.
  • Have experience in mechanical assembly, manufacturing, or production operations.
  • Have strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting capabilities.
  • Have proficiency in reading and interpreting assembly blueprints, drawings, and technical documentation.
  • Have experience using measuring instruments and hand tools accurately.
  • Have experience performing functional and pressure testing activities.
  • Have the ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Have the ability to safely operate cranes, hoists, and pallet jacks.
  • Have strong attention to detail and commitment to safety procedures.
  • Have the physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift and carry up to 50 pounds, and perform repetitive hand and wrist movements throughout the shift.
  • Have excellent teamwork and communication skills in a manufacturing environment.
