Overview
The Gas Turbine Mechanic – 2nd Shift position involves hands-on mechanical work in assembling and maintaining gas turbine components within a collaborative team environment. The role emphasizes safety, quality, and continuous improvement in support of reliable power generation worldwide.
Responsibilities
- Perform mechanical assembly and related work using hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment.
- Support and guide others during work efforts.
- Utilize forklifts and departmental equipment in accordance with training, safety, and operational requirements.
- Read and follow work instructions, drawings, and procedures to ensure accurate assembly and quality outcomes.
- Support general shop activities based on business needs, including material handling and equipment setup.
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment in line with company Health, Safety, Environmental (HSE) standards.
- Conduct all activities in alignment with company policies, quality requirements, and core values.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 3+ years of relevant mechanical or industrial experience.
- Strong mechanical background with hands-on experience using tools and equipment for assembly work.
- Successfully completed required welding tests and qualifications.
- Ability to follow standardized work instructions and procedures with attention to detail.
- Ability to work safely in an industrial environment while using required personal protective equipment (PPE).
