Overview

Zero Point Energy Labs is an American advanced manufacturing company focused on bringing critical manufacturing back to the U.S. They design and manufacture high-performance battery systems for various mission-critical applications.

Responsibilities

• Assemble lithium-ion battery packs according to engineering drawings, work instructions, and manufacturing procedures.
• Perform cell inspection, sorting, matching, and preparation prior to assembly.
• Complete welding, soldering, wiring, insulating, and final mechanical assembly operations.
• Perform electrical testing including voltage, resistance, continuity, insulation, and functional verification.
• Ensure every assembly meets engineering specifications and company quality standards before moving it to the next production stage.
• Take ownership of the quality of your work by identifying, correcting, and reporting defects or process deviations before products leave your workstation.
• Strictly follow all documented work instructions, assembly procedures, and manufacturing standards without deviation unless approved by Engineering.
• Maintain accurate manufacturing records, inspection reports, and production documentation.
• Operate precision hand tools, calibrated equipment, battery testing equipment, and production machinery safely and correctly.
• Support Engineering with prototype builds, process improvements, and new product introductions.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe manufacturing environment.
• Assist with material staging, inventory organization, packaging, and shipping preparation as needed.
• Continuously look for opportunities to improve manufacturing quality, efficiency, and repeatability.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to perform repetitive, detail-oriented assembly work for extended periods.
• Ability to accurately follow written work instructions and standard operating procedures.
• Comfortable working with small electrical and mechanical components.
• Strong manual dexterity and exceptional attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently while maintaining high production quality standards.
• 1+ years of experience with structures, avionics, propulsion, or automotive hardware installation; OR a certificate from an accredited trade school or technical program.
• 1+ years of experience working in an electrical or mechanical test environment or performing electrical or mechanical installations.

Additional Information

• Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs. unassisted.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods.
• Must be willing to work overtime and weekends as needed to meet critical production deadlines.
• Must be willing to work onsite at our Gardena and Hawthorne, California manufacturing facilities. Remote work is not available.
• Must comply with all company safety, quality, security, and export control requirements.
