Overview

As a Senior Manufacturing Welding Engineer at Honeywell Aerospace, you will ensure the quality and efficiency of manufacturing operations by developing strategies to optimize production processes and driving continuous improvement initiatives. You will work onsite in Torrance, CA, and report directly to the Engineering Director.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee advanced manufacturing processes to ensure quality, efficiency, and productivity.
• Develop and implement strategies to optimize production processes and drive continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement advanced manufacturing technologies.
• Analyze manufacturing data and metrics to identify areas for improvement.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to team members.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, or mathematics.
• Proven experience in advanced manufacturing, welding process optimization, and lean manufacturing principles.
• Strong knowledge of welding technologies such as TIG Welding and welding automation.
• Knowledge of industry specifications such as AWS D17.1 and AMS2750.
• Familiarity with GD&T concepts and symbols.
• Experience with data analysis and statistical process control.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Proven track record of continuous improvement and project execution.
• Familiarity with NX or similar CAD software.
